Belvidere, North Carolina. That’s where my story begins. Where I learned and grew. Where I was first exposed to the power of story and the art of storytelling. Whether listening to my grandpa preach or talk trash with the other old men at the country store; or hearing my grandma recount the hard edged tales of the rural south, the magic of a good story well-told enrapt me. Everything is a story. Every day of your life. Every encounter. The path you walk to school. The people you love and even the ones you don’t. Math, science, art, religion. Life itself is a story. It has been my mission and my pleasure to tell stories. I will always share tales no matter the platform or medium. Because stories flow through us all. They bind and unite us. They separate and define us. The common ground of humanity is our stories.

Since graduating from the University of North Carolina, I have written, produced and edited in television markets in Norfolk, Virginia; Austin, Texas; Greensboro, North Carolina and Chicago, Illinois. I have led departments in Austin, Greensboro and Chicago as Director of Creative Services and Promotions/Creative Services Manager leading teams and crafting marketing campaigns and strategies that resulted in increased retention, ratings and revenue. I leverage the power of storytelling to bring unique concepts to life across multiple platforms and executions.

In addition to the creative, I have years of experience on the technical and operations side. Having served in multiple roles from audio op to master control technician to satellite transmissions.

I find great joy in teaching promo writing and production to high school and college students. As well as serving as a merit badge counselor for the Boys Scouts of America in Moviemaking, Graphics, Journalism and Communications.
